Marvin: The Multifaceted Dynamo Driving Positive Change in Hypers Kids Africa
My story
In 2012 my mother and father separated, i began staying with my father who took care of me and took me to school, but unfortunately after a year he was diagnosed with cancer, he was unable to work, hence could not take care of me leaving me with no choice but to drop out of school, My father’s valiant battle with Cancer stole his ability to provide, and I found myself on the precipice of adversity.
With education’s door firmly shut due to unmet fees, the streets became my teacher. Amid the struggle for survival, Butindo Moses emerged as a guiding light. Up on meeting Butindo Moses, Opened up about my background to him and took him to my father, where he vowed to take care of me , hence i joined Hypers Kids Africa
Within Hypers Kids Africa, a world of creativity and unity unfolded. I started studying dance, acrobatics, video calligraphy and social media management, Street Jam, a dance spectacle, resonated as a tribute to my father’s courage against Cancer.
i thank Hypers Kids Africa and Butindo Moses for the opportunity, As I step forward, I carry with me the echoes of compassion to go back to school for further and higher studies
